The customer is the roadmap: How market and competitive insights should drive every product decision
When product decisions are made far from the customer, roadmaps drift, launches miss the mark, and market opportunities slip away. Discover why product marketers can turn customer, market, and competitive insights into clear inputs that shape product priorities, positioning, and go-to-market decisions. Drawing on his experience leading PMM, GTM, and digital across multiple regions within a global organisation, Jan focuses on influencing centrally owned roadmaps by translating field insights and market intelligence into customer-driven requirements product teams can act on. Key takeaways: - How to turn customer and competitive insights into concrete roadmap inputs, not just feedback - Practical ways to influence product prioritisation when development lives at headquarters - How PMMs can connect market intelligence to stronger positioning, value propositions, and launches - What it takes to make the customer the most credible voice in product decision-making
