Gal
Bakal
Senior Director of Developer Experience
Yahoo
Gal built ZoomInfo's Developer Platform from zero, then used the results to reshape how 550+ developers build and ship software at a publicly traded GTM intelligence company (4,000 employees, NASDAQ). Measure, build, improve. Infrastructure provisioning went from 5 days to 5 minutes (1500X). Developer satisfaction climbed from 54% to 80%. Ease of work nearly doubled. Cycle time dropped 27%. He designed and delivered the DevSat measurement framework, translated survey insights into quarterly action plans, and directed the roadmap and investments for a ~100-person productivity engineering organization. Enterprise-wide GitHub Copilot adoption across 550+ developers followed, the research is published on Arxiv (2501.13282), one of the few practitioner-led studies on AI-assisted development at enterprise scale. Alongside that, he built peer-to-peer learning communities, ran transparent Feedback Jam sessions, and championed a bottom-up culture where engineers engagement shaped the roadmap directly. Gal publishes on platform engineering, developer experience, AI adoption, and the future of software delivery across Arxiv, ZoomInfo's engineering blog, Medium, and LinkedIn.

When everything sounds like AI, nothing sounds like you (and developers know it)
Developers are among the earliest and most intensive users of AI tools - which means they're also the first to recognise AI-generated content when they see it. As more marketing teams scale output with AI, the signal-to-noise ratio in developer communications has collapsed. The irony is brutal: the same technology your team is using to reach more developers is the reason fewer of them are listening. You'll leave with: - Why AI-generated content fails specifically with developer audiences - and what they're actually looking for instead - How to use AI in your content workflow without it hollowing out the credibility you've spent years building - Practical ways to reintroduce a human, specific, trustworthy voice into your developer communications at scale
