Christopher Peter
Makris
Director of Product Learning and Developer Advocacy
Dataiku
Christopher Peter Makris blends humor, heart, and hard data in a way few can. With a Master of Statistical Practice and over a decade of experience spanning statistics, logic, and discrete mathematics, he’s made a career of finding structure in chaos—and doing it with style. As the former Director of Data Science at NYCDSA, Christopher led, mentored, and inspired dozens of students while solving complex business problems and guiding marketing and viral strategy for major brands. Whether working solo or among high-performing teams, he’s driven by a singular goal: to extract insights from data that move the needle on business, financial, and educational objectives. Equal parts machine learner, logician, and outlier, Christopher is as comfortable mentoring aspiring data scientists as he is wrangling unstructured data into actionable strategies. He’s passionate about what he does—and passionate about making a difference.
