Jay Nakagawa has served as the Director of Competitive Intelligence at Dell Technologies for over 13 years, overseeing initiatives that influence nearly $100 billion in annual revenue. With more than 25 years of experience as a product manager, Jay has developed and executed successful competitive strategies. He is a sought-after keynote speaker at global industry and analyst events.
Throughout his career, Jay has held a variety of roles in sales, business development, corporate marketing, product marketing, and product management, both domestically and internationally. His broad experience across these functions provides him with valuable insights into diverse aspects of business strategy.
Jay’s career spans enterprise companies, high-growth firms, and startups. He is the former Chairman of the Strategic and Competitive Intelligence Professionals (SCIP) association and has contributed to the Product Development and Management Association (PDMA). In 2023, he was inducted as a Fellow Member into the Council of Competitive Intelligence. Additionally, Jay is a regular guest lecturer at Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas and joined the faculty of Ben Gilad’s Academy of Competitive Intelligence (ACI) in 2023.
Jay holds a B.S. in Information Systems from the University of Colorado Boulder and an M.B.A. in International Business from Regis University.
