Panel - Beyond feature requests: Driving product strategy with resourceful PMM advocacy
PMMs often find themselves positioned between market demands and product development, but how do you truly influence the product roadmap when budgets for extensive research or dedicated influence campaigns are limited? This keynote will move beyond simply submitting feature requests, equipping you with the strategies to become a powerful, resourceful advocate for market needs and customer insights within your product team. This session will empower PMMs to leverage their unique understanding of the market, customers, and competitive landscape to drive meaningful product strategy. Discover how to identify high-impact problems, articulate their business value, and present solutions that resonate with product teams, even without a dedicated budget for new initiatives. You'll leave with actionable tactics to elevate your strategic influence, ensuring your product is built for market success with maximum efficiency. Key learnings: - Develop a framework for translating market insights and customer feedback into compelling strategic arguments that resonate with product teams. - Implement resourceful methods for influencing product roadmaps by leveraging existing data, internal alignment, and persuasive communication, rather than budget. - Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with product counterparts to ensure PMM advocacy directly translates into impactful product strategy and development.
