Hugh
Minson
VP of Growth Marketing
Splunk
Shortly after high school, Hugh was drafted into the Australian Football League to pursue his dream of playing football for a living. His body had different ideas, cutting his career short due to injury. He then changed direction by studying business at Australia's only university founded by an entrepreneur, Bond, then entered the workforce. Startup 1: employed by a seed-funded mobile app advertising company. Decided it was time to have a crack himself Startup 2: Hugh co-founded a peer-to-peer EdTech marketplace in the sharing economy. Went hard by going through Australia's top tech accelerator and even pitching on Shark Tank. Enterprise 1: joined the 15,000-person strong Salesforce cutting my teeth in product marketing and loved it. Six years later, at 75,000 people, I decided it was time to start a new chapter Enterprise 2: joined Splunk at 8,000 employees in growth marketing. A couple of years in, Cisco acquired them for $28 billion - the 7th biggest tech acquisition in history. Heads down focusing on the integration currently.
