Lindsay
Eckert
Vice President of Product Marketing
3STEP Sports
Lindsay Eckert is VP of Growth & Product Marketing at 3STEP Sports, where she leads go-to-market strategy across marketplace, media, sponsorship, and subscription products. Over the past 15+ years, she's built and scaled product marketing organizations and GTM strategies for companies including Cars.com, The Onion, Airbnb, Procter & Gamble, and BlackBerry. With academic roots in psychology, sociology, and anthropology, Lindsay is passionate about applying behavioral science to product marketing, helping teams better understand customers, craft stronger narratives, and drive growth through human insight rather than assumptions. Fun fact: Outside of work, I'm the co-founder of the Chicago Hat Auction, a community fundraiser that turns vintage hats, neighborhood partnerships, and a little friendly competition into thousands of dollars for local nonprofits.

The Psychology of Growth: Why Product Marketing Owns Human Understanding, Not Just Messaging
The Psychology of Growth argues that Product Marketing's greatest competitive advantage isn't messaging, it's understanding people. While AI can organize information and generate content, it cannot determine how different audiences perceive value, overcome uncertainty, or make decisions. Product Marketing should own the study of human behavior inside the business, translating between customers, product teams, sales, and executives to create shared understanding. In an era where execution is increasingly automated, the future of Product Marketing belongs to those who can make sense of people, not just products.
