Baber Farooq is the Senior Vice President of Product Marketing for SAP Ariba and SAP Fieldglass.  In this role, he leads a team focused on delivering world-class procurement and external workforce solutions that drive optimal outcomes for customers today, and into the future. Baber has extensive procurement knowledge gained from working with customers across the globe, and understanding their challenges, procurement transformation goals and view of success. This background provides Baber unique insights into procurement organisations and supports the development of a customer-centric roadmap for SAP’s solutions. Baber joined SAP Ariba in 2006 in the United States. Since then, he has held various director-level roles in overseeing procurement transformations across the world. Prior to taking on his current role, he served as General Manager, Customer Value Organisation in the SAP customer success organisation for the Asia-Pacific region. Baber holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees in engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. Prior to joining SAP Ariba, he was part of the Engineering Design and Construction team for the city of Miami, Florida. He presently lives in Melbourne, Australia with his wife, daughter, son, cat and Rottweiler.
