Stefan Schäfer has been working in the cloud computing industry for over 15 years, heading now the international product marketing at the European cloud provider OVHcloud. There he advocates data-sovereign solutions, open source standards and secure cloud infrastructures from Europe. Previously, Stefan Schäfer held management positions in IT projects and for cloud services at Deutsche Telekom and Huawei. During this time, he accompanied various IT projects with major partners from the private and public sectors in the UK, China and Germany. The computer scientist is also a lecturer in innovation management at the FOM University of Applied Sciences for Economics and Management and lives in Cologne.
