Mark
Edwards
Director, Product Marketing
Thriva
Mark Edwards is an undeniably curious and open-minded marketer and team leader who has built a successful career around shaping, launching, and managing products that spark creativity. At Electronic Arts, he helped video game brands evolve from niche franchises into global blockbusters. At Starbucks, he revitalized a coffee business that had lost relevance with a younger audience. Now, as Director of B2B Product Marketing at Zillow Group, Mark has reinvented the brand and go-to-market strategy for the world’s largest real estate tech SaaS company. He believes that Product Marketing should serve brand evolution as much as it supports the Product or Sales organizations. Outside of work, Mark enjoys inspiring his children to love books, volunteering with Type 1 Diabetes organizations, and exploring London’s wealth of experiences for curious minds.

Panel | The PMM measurement reset: What’s vanity, what’s real, and how to prove impact
If you can’t clearly prove your impact, someone else will define it for you. And if Karen in Sales is defining PMM success, you might end up labelled as “the deck team”... again. This panel is about changing that. Join us as we unpack the difference between vanity metrics and metrics that executives actually care about, the ones tied to revenue, pipeline quality, strategic growth, and commercial outcomes. Because when PMMs measure impact in a language leadership understands, the conversation shifts from “prove your value” to “how do we scale this?” We’ll move beyond vanity dashboards and focus on the metrics that protect budget, justify headcount, and make execs pay attention. Key takeaways: - How to distinguish between vanity metrics and metrics that genuinely influence revenue and commercial growth - Practical ways to measure the effectiveness of sponsorships, partnerships, and brand-led initiatives through a PMM lens - The data points that help secure stakeholder buy-in, budget, and cross-functional credibility - How to build a measurement narrative that positions PMM as a strategic driver, not just a support function -- And because this is PMM Festival, we’re bringing a voice of the audience on stage to challenge, question, and pressure-test the panel in real time, so the conversation reflects what’s actually happening in your world.
